I have been having a hard time keeping up with everything that is going plus the start of a new semester. If I am missing any events or interesting actions, please leave me a comment.
This is what I managed to note this week:
First: Motion 312. Journalist Chantal Herbert thinks that the September 26 vote on the motion will be tight. Check out ARCC’s list of what needs doing now in order to ensure a strong no vote. MPs are known to skip out on votes like this, so let yours know that you want them there and to vote no!
Second: Student’s for Reproductive Rights, UBC’s pr-choice student group will be out this week for club days. Check out their facebook page here.
Third: A counter group has begun to oppose & respond to the anti-choice folks who will be out for 40 days from Sept 25-Nov 4 to deny persons with uteruses the right to choose. Check out 365 Days for Choice here. A great idea.
