Who Needs Feminism Campaign

So I have been meaning to write my review of Ourselves Unborn, but haven’t got to it. It is coming! Soon!

In the meantime, here is some other news. There is a a fascinating new campaign coming out of Duke University that you can read about here. Basically, the campaign asks people to send in photos of themselves holding up signs explaining why they need feminism. After that, people are supposed to looking  at the photos critically and try to decide whether or not we, as a society, need feminism. As the article states, the idea is basic and is almost completely dependent on audience participation.

The exciting thing is that the SFU Women’s Centre is also getting involved. They are having a ” Who Needs Feminism Campaign” meeting  on Wednesday from 10- 12 pm. Women’s Centre Office (TC3014) – All genders welcome!

Get involved, check out the links and think about getting something started at your school. It is a simple but fascinating campaign that gives you a chance to think about how you would answer the question.
